1. I was travelling with my two children from New Delhi to Bareilly on 29 July 09 by 4316 Intercity Express in AC Chair Car (Coach C2, Seats 37, 38, 39).
2. There was a 50 year old lady travelling in the same coach and sitting behind my seat. She had an e ticket. The lady had forgotten to carry her ID Proof.
3. The TTE, G N Pandey, was misbehaving with her since she did not carry ID Proof. The lady very politely told the TTE that she will produce the same at Bareilly Jn failing which the TTE could charge her the penalty. The TTE was still talking very rudely and the top of his voice.
4. Since I am in the Army where we are taught to respect the ladies, I could not tolerate the way the TTE was talking. I told the TTE that please do not harass the lady. She is saying that she will produce the ID Proof at Bareilly Jn failing which you can charge her the penalty. She is a 50 year old lady. Respect her age and talk politely. The TTE started abusing me and said not to interfere in Railways Matter. Since the TTE had abused me I told him what he was doing was not right and that he should mind his language else I will have to lodge a complaint against him.
5. The TTE did not budge and he again abused me and said that he would put me in jail for interfering in Raiways Matter. The co-passengers tried to pacify the TTE. The TTE said I should give in writing that I would not interfere in Railways Matter which I did. Nevertheless the shameful act of the TTE is unpardonable.
6. It is requested that appropriate action be taken against the TTE (G N Pandey).
