I often have to travel from Andheri east near (SEEPZ) to Gahtokopar station as our clients are located at seepz and my office at thane. On 13.04.09 as i was coming back to my office in thane i took an auto & told him to go to ghatkopar station. While coming back during Hours of peak traffic my meter redaing usually comes around Rs. 60 that too when we are stopping more than moving. Today around 12.00 noon when the traffic was relatively light the meter i noticed midway that the meter reading was quite unusual. since then i kept a strict ye on the meter and notice while stopping at the redlight the meter ddnt slow down instead went on at the same pace. on complaining the auto driver ddnt say anything. As i reached my destination the total amount due was 65 while during the toughest of times i had to pay Rs. 55. I complained to the driver again upon which he strated abusing me on objecting to this verbal abuse he started manhandling me that was the like the last straw. I took out my cell phone and called 100 on seeing this he fled. i went to nearby ghatkopar station with his Name & regustration no (MH 03 V 4383) but i was asked to furnish his address on my inability to do so i was adviced not to lodge a complaint as no action could be taken unless i have any visible marks of violence. Feeling helpless i came across this site as a last hope.
