I want to bring to your kind notice that some of the autorickshaw in Kanjur Marg (E) Mumbai-400042 area have tempered meters. I use to travel from Kanjur marg -E to Malad (E) Mumbai-400097 for my work. This is a distance of approximate 17 Kms. I have seen autorickshaw which show meter reading ranging from 100 (Rs 99) to 141 (Rs140). Most of the time it is around Rs110. So if I take Rs110 as the genuine charge, then all the autorickshaws which charge more than this have tempered their meters and are illegally charging more to the commuters. e.g. Today I travelled by autorickshaw no. MH03J-7493 and it charged me Rs 138.
I want that strict action should be taken against such Autorickshaw owners/drivers for illegally tempering the meters and charging more than what they are actually suppose to charge as per rules.
