It's a matter of last week all of sudden few personnel came from MPEB to chk the meter it was fit on open place courtyard of our house. They checked the meter and said, it is running in slow speed and we have to take it for investigation. They have taken a cartoon to carry the Meter with us.
Even though they didn't inform anything regarding meter for why they are taking for investigation, even the seal of meter was not broken, inspite of that they carry the meter in a cartoon any there was no any confirmation or receipt is given by the MPEB personnel that our meter is going in a safe hand.
After 2 days they called us at office and said this meter is old and working slowly. so we have to charge the amount from you. They gave me a notice against it we have to deposit Rs.33000/- for the same.
Why we suffer for the same if we are innocent, If there is no mistake from our side. Why we pay extra charges if we are not wrong. It’s a matter of our family reputation in our society what people say.
Since 2006 when our previous meter was run very fast and we informed to MPEB in this regard. So they changed the meter, but the meter they changed that was already used by someone and its reading was 4080 approx and they fitted it on electric post and take out from home. Again we said it’s a used meter, they said now we have shortage of meters so we have no any alternate.
After that our meter bill was continuously remaining same, if MPEB has to do some changes so why people suffer for that, please keep this matter seriously.
Again it’s a matter of 8 months back the MPEB personnel’s came and bring down the meter from electric post and fitted in courtyard.
Now we have objection on the below points:
1. If they came for the purpose to check the meter so they should carry some tools like watt meter, but it was not so, they just asked a old heater coil and checked the meter reading, how fast or slow it is running. Kindly let me know is it fine to check the meter in this way he did, Mr. J. E From MPEB department came to find out the speed. We just said you should use a specific tool to check the meter, he will become angry and said, no need to teach me you will see all the things when you have to go in court. Even he demanded a cartoon to carry the meter and they didn’t put the seal mark on cartoon and got the meter with them.
2. On that day they didn’t checked other’s meter excepting 2-3 homes.
3. Sir, it is clearly suspicious that there is something wrong is doing infavour of us.
4. We belong to middle class family and there is no government employee in our family, Father is retd.from MPSRTC having no pension, we are only 2 brothers doing private jobs, we are not in a condition to deposit a heavy amount Rs36000/-.and deposited Rs.1700/- Bill for the month of July. Why electricity cut.
5. This meter is in the Name of our FatherMr. Narendra Singh Chauhan He is not in a condition to go anywhere; he is suffering from Retinitis Pimentos an eye disease in which a person is not able to see any thing. He is suffered this disease after Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
6. So in absence of my Father I am the elder son Mr. Amar Singh Chauhan present in court or MPEB department.
Request: May I request you Kindly once again check this case there is something wrong, and we have to face the difficult for that. We have to living in dark from last few days. It’s a rainy season any mosquitos are every where. We have 2 small children below 5 years, suppose if they affected with malaria without electricity then who take the liability for these children, our Father –mother is above than 60 years of age they too suffers a lot.
