Axis Bank
Non delivary of monthly account statement

I am maintaining a current a/c at AXIS BANK, Nabapally branch, Barasat and my current account number is-021010200046260 ; name-GODHULI ENTERPRISE.Since opening of the said account I am not getting any statement regarding the account. Several times I informed the Bank officials regarding the matter but still now I am not getting the account statement. Moreover the AXIS BANK is deducting Rs.400.00 per month as per Consolidated charges for a/c with service tax @ 12.36% on charges i.e total of Rs.449.44 per month since July. As per the CURRENT ACCOUNT SCHEDULE OF CHARGES W.E.F 01.07.2006 (which was send to my address along with the Welcome kit few days after opening the account), the customer is liable to get free monthly account statement by post.

And the non-maintanence charges is Rs.300 per month if MAB is betweenRs.5000 & Rs.10000..

Now my question is, the charges and rules may change but the customer must be intimated immediately if it is directly related to the customer. Here AXIS BANK did not inform me regarding the revised charges.

On 28-06 the AXIS BANK deducted Rs.113.00 for debit card annual charge and my Credit balance came down to Rs.4976.90. On 30.07.2008 the AXIS BANK deducted Rs.449.44 as per consolidated charge for a/c including service tax. If I could get the monthly statement between those 32 days, I was surely able to maintain the MONTHLY AVERAGE BALANCE (MAB). Not even on the next month (August) I got the monthly account statement from the AXIS BANK. Since 30.07.2008 theAXIS BANK has deducted of total Rs.2696.64p and made my account Dormant. On personal enquiry I came to know regarding the matter on 19.01.2009. On the very next day i.e on 20.01.2009 I have deposited Rs.3000 in my account and after that I requested Operation Head (Madam Anjana Basu) of Nabapally branch to activate my account as per theAXIS BANK’s rules and requested her in black and white to refund my Rs.2696.64p immediately.

On 22nd January I made a complaint through email to Senior Vice-President (Complience), ezh of AXIS BANK.But not yet I have got any reply from there.

Again on 3rd February I made further complaint through email to Complaint Management Team, Central Office of AXIS BANK.On the same day Charmaine Udwadia, Manager (compliance) replied me that they have got my email and they are looking after my matter and the bank will revert to me in the matter shortly.

After getting no further reply from CMT.CO on 7th March again I made complaint to The Chief Complience Officer of AXIS BANK through email.

Meanwhile again bank have deducted Rs.449.44p on 30/01 and Rs.441.20p on 28/02 from the said current account.

On 10th March the Operationhead, Nabapally branch of AXIS BANK requested me through email to deposit Rs.10000/- to make up the shortfall of monthly average balance. On 13th March I have deposited Rs.15000/- by cheque no-046521 of AXIS BANK, Madhyamgram branch. On that day I informed the Operationhead through email that I have already deposited Rs 15000/- and again I the demand for refunding Rs.(2696.64 449.44 441.20)=Rs.3587.28p immediately.

On 25th March the Operationhead ofAXIS BANK, Nabapally branch informed me through email that the competent authority has declined their request for charge reversal in my above mentioned account. But still now I don’t have got any satisfactory answer from those I have made complaints. Then what’s the use of the Grievance Redressal Mechanism of AXIS BANK. Who is responsible for this negligency? Why the customer like me have to penalize for the negligency made by the bank? How AXIS BANK dare to violet the RBI rules? Please take proper action so that I will get my money back.

Thanking you,

Your’s truly
