Non receipt of refund for wrong debits in my savings bank account

Refund claims submitted at the bank s branch for excess debiting Rs.6550 occurred on using BOI Debit *** ATM Card.

On 14.2. I have shopped at a store for Rs.3275 and payment was made using

the above debit card. Later I have noticed that the amount of Rs.3275 was thrice

debited simultaneously from my savings bank a/c no.250510100028568. I have

approached the bank on 13.6.2009 and lodged the complaint and two refund claims

for Rs.3275 each, as per bank s advice, was submitted therewith. I was informed by the bank s official that the refund will be made within 30-40 days.

As nothing has happened after the lapse of the promised time, I have approached

the bank a couple of times and made a number of phone calls, but in vain. On 29.7.2009 I had sent a letter to the concerned branch and again on 29.8.2009 I had sent a complaint by registered letter to the bank s HO at Mumbai. No action has been initiated so far.
