Non receipt of payment

I am holding Barclays credit card. I made a payment on 25/07 which was collected by the bank executive and receipt for the same is obtained. But the bank is saying that, the payment is not received by them. kindly help me, whether I can go the ombudsman banking or register a case against the bank in the court
