I feel Barclays is an unfriendly bank for credit card holders. I was offered priority circle membership for a payment of Rs 5000/- plus taxes etc. totalling to more than Rs 6000/-. Lots was promised over telephone but when the welcome letter came many of the promises were with conditions that made me feel most of the benifits are unusable and not benficial at all. I have been requested through all the possible channels to withdraw the membership and reverse the charges. But for no avail, the ultimate answer is that they would not reverse the charges and SMS is sent declaring that if I don't pay, I would be refered to credit bureau. I have neen harrassed with calls and SMSs now and then for the last two months. For bank's offer not acceptable to me I am being forced upon to pay and being harrassed. There seems to be no co-ordination with each wing of the bank. What ever is promised is not honoured by the bank, the colletion wing continues to harrass even though it is told not to do so many number of times. I have a very bad experience with Barclays. If they could see this complaint the amount debitted to my card for priority circle membership be reversed.
