CANCELLATION OF BARCLAYCARD PRIORITY CIRCLE

I have received calls from female executive of Barclaycard Priority Circle between 20 September to 30 September offering membership of Barclaycard Priority Circle, when I asked for the details, Terms and Conditions and documents pertaining to membership of Barclaycard Priority Circle. She said ‘OK’. On the second call, I confirmed my personal particulars, credit card number, date of birth etc, but she was not inform me regarding “not refundable” and “no cancellation” of the membership in future. That is cheating with me by the said executive.

2. That I was surprised to received bill statement dated 08.10.2008 for Rs 6741.60 (instead of Details, Terms and Conditions and Documents regarding membership – second cheating) and dated 08.11.2008 for Rs 7619.93 for my Barclaycard Gold No 4339487903886474 vide Reference No. 08102008009659 & 08112008011294 respectively for the membership of Barclaycard Priority Circle and interest thereon.

3. That I have immediately made the following calls (before the expiry of 21 days) to your Delhi/Gurgaon/Mumbai Barclaycard Priority Circle branches and customer care of Barclaycard for cancellation of Barclaycard Priority Circle Membership. When I called to Customer Care Barclaycard No 951246752222, he said you have talk to BPC customer care No 011-45081222 then immediately I called to (Nisha-011-45081222 on 17.10.2008 i.e. before expiry of 21 days) & gave my complaint to her, she told that my all previous calls has been recorded and she will check it then can help me, for that she said to call me after 72 hrs, after 72hrs when I called, she said their system has occurred a problem and I have to wait for further 72hrs. Therefore, I waited for another 72hrs and called back this time she said they have checked my conversation and unable to cancel the Barclaycard Priority Circle Membership.

“In view of the above, I decide to withdraw from the program (vide your Terms & Conditions –Barclaycard Priority Circle para 2b & 2c and talking with Customer Care (Nisha) of BPC before the expiry of 21 days.”

“I have not availed any Services/Facilities from Barclaycard Priority Circle till date and my credit card has already been cancelled vide my request No 332480).”

(She refused to Terms and Condition – Barclaycard Priority Circle Para 2b & 2c- third cheating).

(However, all the Executives refused to cancel the membership and misbehave with me). The Amount debited from my credit card account on 29.09.08 and I have made a first call to Nisha – 01145081222 on 17.10.2008 at 1700hrs, phone number obtained from Barclaycard customer care executive.

That I have made various calls between 17.10.2008 to 21.11.2008 for cancelation the membership immediately and reversed the debited entries made in my account, but, all the Executives above, failed/refused to give Cancellation and address of Barclaycard Priority Circle, as a result I am unable to contact personally for cancellation of the membership.

5. They have been charge for no Service/Facility given to/availed by me at all from Barclaycard/BPC side. In fact, of that I have requested for cancellation of membership and the amount charged/debited to/from my account has not been credited/refunded, causing wrongful gain to themselves and causing wrongful loss to me with intention and ulterior motive and thereby committed various offences which are covered under various sections of Indian Penal Code.

That I am incurred expenses of Rs 3000/- for making calls to your Delhi and Mumbai Circle branches and for taking the help of internet Rs - for the details of Terms and Conditions of Barclaycard Priority Circle, which resulted further financial loss to me in addition to the bill amount Rs 7319.93. This is clear violation of Para 2b & 2c of your Terms and Conditions - Barclaycard Priority Circle.

RELIEF & CLAIM

7. In view of the above, you are requested to cancel the membership of Barclaycard Priority Circle and credit the amount of Rs 7619.93 in my monthly Barclaycard statement and forward a cheque of Rs 5000/- expenses incurred by me (i.e. telephone charges, internet charges and correspondence charges) immediately. In addition, Rs 50, 000/- for misbehave/ harassed by your peoples.

8. Till 30 November if, no action has been taken from your side, I will lodge the FIR and circulate the letter to all media (Print media/Electronic media).

9. Please log on: Barclaycard complaints, Barclays credit card complaints, Barclaycard Priority Circle complaints or Consumer Complaints on Internet and watch customers satisfaction.
