Sub: Poor response to customer complaint not in line with Bata reputation
Zist of case
I, Col (Retd) KKD Prasad (64 Years) has been wearing Bata shoes since my childhood since the time Hush Puppies were introduced by Bata I, had been wearing Broques with my uniform and other varities in other capacity. During Mar/Apr08 I, had purchased the brown Hush puppies and in Dec 08 I, realized the sole developing cracks and sides ripping off. On 09 Feb I went to same Bata shop where I purchased the hush puppies at Mahatama Ghandhi statue, Secunderabad and reported the defect and the person on duty Mr. Prasad and Mr Ravi attended to me and were nice to accept the shoes and would get it repaired well and requested for the bill for the shoes which I declined stating one does not keep the bill for so long. They were nice to accept the shoes taking a nominal contribution from my side. I, gave the shoes for repair and purchased another hush puppies, bill attached. The bill for repair was 37 and was to collect in a week’s time. While giving the shoes I adequately informed the officials to repair well and should befitting to look Hush puppies. On 23 Feb I collected the shoes and I am sorry to say they ruined the shoes used material not befitting to be called Hush Puppies and they tried to convince me and finding their negative attitude I, simply left
Please take the shoes back and take the staff to task for tarnishing the image of Bata Shoe Company.
Please give me back my Hush Puppies duly repaired well
