Respected Sir,
After the tremendous price increase, the B E S T Undertaking is not at their BEST to maintain the bus service in whole of Mumbai. I have reason to put on here as I travel the whole of Mumbai city because of the nature of my job. The busconductors are so ruthless one cannot describe. About 2-3 days ago, I were travelling towards Asalfa in Bus No.340, when the bus halted at Marol Pipeline, a man tried to board the bus and the conductor rang the bell just then. The bus dragged the commuter who was holding the catching-rod of the bus on the foot-board. One of the commuter alerted the bus conductor so this prevented the commuter's loss of life. But onece the commuter got in, instead of apologising, the conductor started yelling at the commuter as if it was not the bus conductor's mistake. This shows clear negligance on his part.
I have been complaining to the B E S T, that the Buses 340, 334, 321, 226, 359 etc., which are coming from Ghatkopar towards Andheri, Seepz, and other destinations via Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road not stopping at Mohili Village and Tilak Nagar Stops. The administration of the B E S T is not paying any heed to our woes. A couple of years ago I had been in touch with one person called Mr. Lal who was the-then G.M., and heading the B E S T., never let the B E S T down. We need a man like him who is a man of action but not people who are superflous. Today if we look at every nook and corner of Mumbai, the B E S T service is very bad and pathetic. They are only concerned about the fare hike but not service for the worth of money paid by commuters. Hope from this complaint, the B E S T will put their conciousness into action and streamline their seervice.
