False Commitment and Harrassment

Hi,

My name is Raghu and I am a 5 yrs old Bharath gas customer. My current Bharathgas agency is Prateekh Agencies in Bangalore.

I wish to share with you my harrowing experience with this agency.

1) I had booked a re-fill cylinder (Ordr No.11) on around 20th/21st Nov on an urgent basis. The lady in the agency (Ms. Lily) spoke to my wife and assured that sufficienct stock is there and that if we wanted urgent delivery then I should come to their office personally with the empty cylinder and collect the re-fill after 1 day.

2) I accordingly went to the Prateek Agency office personallly with the cylinder. On reaching they told me that they had mis-communicated and that I cannot collect it personally from there. They said that this is not allowed by Bharath Gas. I have later found out that this is not true and infact their own document (domestic Gas Customer Cad and Passbook) says -- "Get rebate of Rs.8 on non-home delivery."

3) Mr Arun the manager at the agency said that the gas delivery has been already dispatched to my house that same day (22nd Nov) will be delivered by 5pm. He explained that the process is that the consumer has to call the delivery boy personally and the agency will have no role after that. He gave me a voucher reciept and said to hand it over to the the delivery boy. This is a very surprising and non-standard process. Who takes the responsibility?

4) From 22nd till date I have called the delivery boy 10 times and the gas agency 6 times. Most of the time no-one picks up the phone or the published numbers are wrong. Whenever I do get thru, the agency asks to contact the delivery boy and the delivery boy asks to contact the agency. Each is washing their hands off and are claiming that they cannot do anything and that I should contact the other.

5) In the last week I have spent a lot of money in eating out in the absence of gas which was committed in writing to me. I have suffered much mental harrasment. My lawyers say that I can claim significant compensation for deficiency of service and mental harrassment. I also plan to highlight this issue in the media in which I have significant personal and professional contacts. The document given to me by you agnecy is also grossly misleading in several ways.

My requsts are --

1) We should file a joint consumer curt case against Bharat gas... else they will never learn.

2) One of us can o-ordinate.

3) We should find the E-Mail ID of the MD / ED of Bharath Gas and BP and make him aware of these deficienies.
