“I had purchased Airtel Connection on 19th January’2005 from below Airtel Showroom:

That time Airtel had launched Two Year’s Advance Rental Plan for Rs.1399/-, first time. In this plan, Rs.899/- were for Two year's Rental & Rs.500/- for Membership Fee. Out of these Rs.500/-, Rs.250/- was refundable after two years, i.e. after expiry of rental period, which many times I got confirmed from Airtel's customer care executives during the rental period.
After expiry of the rental period, from Airtel I got a call regarding renewal of the connection and I give consent to continue this connection by paying Rs.999/- for Three Year’s Advance Rental Plan in March’2007. That time also I, I asked him for refund of Security Deposit but the excutive replied that security deposit refunded only after surrender of connection. On 13th August’08, I surrender my connection at your Airtel Relationship Center at Naraina by migrating it to Pre-paid connection. I again asked them for refund of security deposit they replied me that refund will be made within 60-90 days after the date of surrender. I waited for 3 months but all in vain, I got no refund at all. Then I took decision to write email to [email protected] and wrote a request email on 3rd December but for reply I had to wait more than one month. On 7th January I received email asking the following details of my post paid connection:
Name of the Airtel Showroom (where you paid deposit)
Place of amount paid
Date of amount paid
Copy of Bill……………….?
I provided all details, except the copy of Bill, as didn’t have the same. But to my surprise, I got replied from Airtel that there is not record of any Security Deposit. I again replied by providing more information about the plan, under which I bought the connection and finally I got reply on 9th February that my concern has been forwarded to the respective department and provided me Service Request Number 20584947 and wrote that they will informed me about the revert by 19th February.
But I got no revert from Airtel, so I asked for the resolution quoting the said service request number on 2nd March. On 4th March, I got reply that “we are unable to provide you that refund amount as there is no deposit amount found in your recodes. Hence we are unable to provide you the refund amount”.
I know under which plan I bought the connection but there is not record in Bharti Airtel. What kind of company is this, who is not keeping thier customer's proper data.
I request to all who are AIRTEL's customer be aware and try to get the refund of your connection in time otherwise they will forfiete all the money.
