I applied for IPTV at my Chandigarh residence through Akash agencies, who declared that IPTV service is being provided by BSNL. IPTV was installed at my residence after repeated followup with M/s Akash. After installation, I discovered that my either I can watch TV or surf internet. Akash personnel said BSNL will replace existing single port modem to multiport modem. This was confirmed by BSNL's public dealing personnel also. They reffered me to the Technical dept. for replacing the modem. When I met Technical services dept. of BSNL, to my surprise, they said they have nothing to do with M/s Akash (I purchased IPTV connection in the name of BSNL) and the modem will not be replaced and nothing can be done. On my repeated requests, they asked me to give an application regarding the same, which I did and nothing has happened till date. Today the situation is, whenever I switch ON my TV, the screen either reads BUSY or THE NETWORK IS BUSY. Despite paying for the facillity, I am not able to watch TV. I think BSNL should own the responsibility of harassing the customers, as M/s Akash are getting the connections in the name of BSNL. It is in the name of BSNL only that I opted for IPTV otherwise there are better private service providers for the same.
