Recently I visited their office their office in Noida, their sales executive did his sales pitch, where he mentioned that by becoming a member of Cambay you would be members of RCI and blah blah about 5000 locations where you can holiday. He then tried to coax us to shell out money in the region of 1, 20, 000Rs to become life members. When we did not show interest, he proposed to pay 20k now and try out our services and if we did not like to leave it. We fell for it since we were considering a vacation in the near future. The sales rep then proceed to give us multiple forms to fill in and sign here n there. He then said welcome to cambay. Now after becoming members we discovered the following - -
we were tricked and enrolled for 5 year membership with fees of Rs 1, 00, 000.
our credit card was made a default mode of payment for the EMI which they created of the balance amount.
RCI membership was not realised
if we did opt for RCI holidays there will be extra charges.
Food credit is only at Cambay's own properties which are only about 10 out of 5000 odd.
plus the 1, 00, 000 Rs does not make sense when offer for 25yrs is 1, 18, 000 then how come 1, 00, 000Rs for only 5 year... total fraud.they tricked us to pay them 1, 00, 000 and also by passed us and bill straight to the credit card.
I've sent them Emails about cancellation of the membership and I've not heard back from them.
Somebody please take action against them
