Issue of new card

Hi,

This is regarding a new issue i faced yesterday.

i went to the bank of india ATM at walkeshwar to withdraw money from my citibank account.

i used my citibank debit card. my card got stcuk in the machine and was swallowed. i had no idea why as i even did not enter my pin or did any transaction.

i called the helpdesk they had no clue.i called up the helpline they had no idea. they told me come on monday morning and lauch a complaint with bank of india walkeshwar branch.

no i have to come all the way again to walkeshwar branch on monday leaving my work aside and fulfill their formalities.

secondly i called citibank about the card and they blocked it but told i would be charged rs 200 for new card issuance. the person i spoke to on call name (satish paul) was rude and did not even took the request for issuance of new card.

why do we have to bear the cost of such ATM failures.

no fault of mine i have to pay charges of new card. i have been a citibank account holder form last 6 years and still they do not waive of such charges for old customers.
