ICICI bank credit card division

Dear Sir,

I had deposited Cheque no 448770 for Rs4, 945/- at Langford bank branch on 11-11. I received my monthly statement in last week of Nov. To my suprise I was billed and fined for non payment of dues. This was brought to the notice of the concerned personnel in your bank. Subsequently I asked for cancellation of my credit card and issued a cheque for Rs16, 499.30 (this outstanding amount included the balance amount of Rs4945 non payment fine for Nov).

Today I receive a statement from ICICI bank that my missing cheque for Rs4, 945/deposited in Nov has been conveniently encashed by your bank on 11-12.

SinceI have already deposited the said amount when I cancelled my card, as your bank claimed to have no knowledge about the existence/whereabouts of the deposited cheque I request you to refund Rs 4, 945/- and also demand an explanation for the same at the earliest.
