Subject: Unsigned Cheque

Dear Sir/Madam,

Reference is made to your letter dated 13.06.2008 received on 04.07.2008 regarding intimation for receipt of unsigned cheque No. 170051 dated 09.06.2008 drawn on SBI, Vile Parle for Rs.8990/- towards repayment of dues outstanding on credit card account 5176 5370 2346 7002.

I have deposited unsigned cheque due to over sight prior to receipt of statement dated 11.06.2008 with a payment due date 29.06.2008.I have received your letter & unsigned cheque after due date i.e. on 04.07.2008 & re-deposited cheque on 05.07.2008 at Shagun Mall, Dindoshi. Your office would have been intimated about my mistake by telephonically or SMS prior to payment due date so that I could have been deposited proper cheque timely as my contact number was mentioned on the reverse of the cheque. However, I have received intimation late about my mistake. I request to advise the concerned to give proper & timely intimation to the customer through SMS/telephonically/E-mail/letter etc.

I have received call from your representative on 21.07.2008 at 1732&1757Hrs. from telephone Nos. 67662512 & 67662104 regarding non-receipt of said cheque & pressing hard to issue fresh cheque. You are requested to find out cheque which was issued by me. If it is misplaced, same may please be communicated to me at the earliest.

I request you to waive off Rs.762.63 towards late payment fee & interest charges which have been indicated in the statement dated 12.07.2008 as a special case. You can verify my past payment record where in I had paid all dues payment in time.

I assure that recurrence of such mistake will not happen in future. Awaiting for the corrected statement & status of cheque issued by me, failing which my credit card may please be cancelled immediately. In due course of time, all the dues shall be cleared by me.
