Dear Sir,
I have purchased a water pump motor from M/s Kohli Trading company, 38, Gautam Budh Marg, Lucknow on 5.6.08. As per the supplier this motor is warranted for one year from the date of supply.
This motor was burnt on 22.6.08 (i.e. within the warranty period) and the matter was referred to their authorised repairer M/s Modern Electricals & Engineering Works, Raebareilly Road, Lucknow. He repaired the motor after taking a charges of Rs. 600/=.only.
This motor hardily worked for three days and burnt. Then again, I requested M/s Modern Electricals & Engineering Works, Raebareilly Road, Lucknow. to repair it under the warranty. He repaired it, without any charges and fitted the same at my home. This motor was brought by him to my home, in rain and was in wetted position. It was fitted in the same condition. Due to this reason, motor was again burnt within two days only.
Then I requested him to repair it, because it was fitted in the wetted position. Then he flatly refused me, to get it repair under the warranty. Then I approached to a private repairer, to get it repaired. He got it checked and told me that water has entered into the motor, because water seal and bearing are in damaged position i.e. due to faulty repairing. He repaired it and charged Rs. 650/= only. Since then it is working well and no damage has been found.
It is quite clear that the supplied motor was defective either or repairing was not done properly. Therefore, I request the company Managing Director or the person concern, to get it replaced with the new motor as early as possible.
