Defective laptop and no support

I purchased Studio 14 (Tag- 5LNT2BS) on 9th Jan-09 and received it on 23rd of jan-09.

After a day or two, I found the speaker casing is open from one side, it can be fixed by pressing it tightly, But opens every other day.

The plastic chassis which holds the screen is very loose and opens up from the top (Near the camera)

Due to this there are Keyboard markings over screen and strong lines and markings all around keyboard, on Speakers and near touchpad. Situation exacerbated along with time, it started to intensify. They cannot be cleaned or wiped off.

If not taken care now will lead to screen damage and lines all around keyboard. I will also like to tell you that I never overstuff my bag and have separate bag for laptop.

This strongly indicates defective build of this laptop. I mailed customer service, I was asked to contact technical people, Then I mailed technical support (case no 20090402155617459), Didnt got any reply other then computer generated. Finally I called Tech support on 14th of april (Case no 2058058), I was told to send pictures of all markings and if possible these parts will be replaced.

I know its an engineering fault and replacing parts will not be the solution. As these marks will appear again in a week. I was directed to customer service and I asked them to replace unit but he denied. I even asked him that i am ready to pay for any higher model or ready to accept lower model (Inspiron), but no luck.

Now I have suffered a lot and want to end all of this.
