Asking for verification

I have ECS deductions for my cellphone 9490745725 through Maharashtra Bank. I have been paying bill for the past one year. I received a SMS message asking me to verify why ECS clearance has not taken place from the bank. I have verified with the bank and the amount is already deducted on 24th May08. I do not understand why BSNL does not update the records and putting the customer to inconvenience such as apply leave for verifying the records.
