I had bought a Electrolux Window aircon 1.5 ton on 20.6.09. But to my utter surprise the Installation person sent by the sales dealer did not keep the slope of the AC properly and, my room was filled with water the next day morning, and the foul smell started coming form the AC from the next day onwards, after repeated followups, with the sales Distributor, the distributor replaced teh units, becuase as per the distributor the Compalint was lodged and the Electrolux service guys, did not bother to attend the complaint for more than a week. Now after aboutr a month yesterady morning, found out that again the AC stopped functioning, and when the servivce engineer reached, he reported that the AC has had a Gas leak, and these will have to checked for the leakage and recitified at their workshop, which will take at least 3 days, as they are so busy attending others complait and cannot attend to this problem earlier to this.
I asked teh service Manager to provide a Standby unit, as within a period of 2 months, this is a problem due to manufacturing quality defects and not due to any customer mishandling, as a right i supose i should get at least this service for the quality of the product sold to me, else should cpmpensate me suitably.
