Dear Sir/Madam,
I ordered and paid for a 20' container of scaffolding for the Fiji market and upon receipt of the consignment found the scaffolding units were not compatible with each other, hence it couldn't be used and is currently in warehouse sittind and collecting dust. I have sent hundreds of mails to JVR but they reneged on their initial undertaking to replace the incorrect units with correct ones at their expense while taking note of the 32% duty and 15% VAT we paid here.we even had our Indian high commission rep Mr Rao to veiw the consignment and hopefully assist me in getting what I had paid for but it seems that they watch each others back as theives in a den. I am at loss as to what more I could do in the quest for justice. The one other person who had tried to assist me by collaborating with EIA Delhi was the DGIF of Ludhiana but of late it seems that the Delhi people have been bought. I .hope their is an honest organisation in India to render assistance and deliver justice. Of course situations such as these paint a bad picture of doing business there and I would be only too happy to send any proof via email in support of my allegations.
This consignment cost me approx USD 10000 and JVR had at one instance offered $1000 in compensation but we felt that that was not anywhere near to qualify as appropriate. JVR has severed any correspondance and all mails remain unanswered. Await your kind response. Thank you.
