Sub: Poor Customer Service by Maruti Company dealer- M/s Bhatia & Company; Kota, Rajasthan
Dear Sir/Madam,
With reference to the above subject; I would like to bring to your notice about my case – that was handled pathetically by your dealer in Kota, Rajasthan.
I met with a severe accident on 21st Dec.’07 while driving my Maruti Esteem VXI- Registration No. RJ-20-CA-0748 (Purchased from M/s Bhatia & Company on 29th August’05) near Jaipur - the same was informed to the dealer on the subsequent day. This vehicle which was insured through Maruti Insurance arrived in Kota from Jaipur on 24th Dec.’07 - the repair work started on 9th Jan.’08 against Job card no.-0134160 – which got over and finally the vehicle was handed over to me on 13th March’08.
During these 10 weeks I was taken aback by poor workmanship; and lousy service offered by the dealer – lack of supervision, delay in sourcing parts, incorrect information on delivery of vehicle etc were a few among the bunch of issues that I encountered during my regular visits to the dealer service centre.
Despite of 10 weeks of activity, I had to take my vehicle back to the service centre for one or the pother problem; to mention – A.C. was not working properly, wheel alignment etc.
Well, during the period: 15th Dec.’07 – 16th Jan. ’08 there was a free service camp organized by Maruti, where there was a discount of 20% on labor charges and 5% on parts. During the same time, this vehicle of mine was at the service centre for repair; and by all means I was eligible for entitling these benefits. The labor cost for the service of my car was Rs 35, 000; and for the parts it was Rs 1, 50, 000; and by this calculation, the dealer should have waived off Rs 15, 000 from the total bill. Here, the argument of the dealer for not considering my case was that the car has met with an accident – but in your discount coupon, it was nowhere mentioned about a clause regarding the accident vehicle; hence; the discount should have been offered to me.
With 5 Maruti vehicles in my family, including mine; I always trusted the brand for its performance and service levels – unfortunately the later disappointed me and my family members.
I sincerely, request Maruti Company to discuss my case with the dealer- M/s Bhatia & Company; and render me the right justice.
I’m confident that your decision in this matter will regain my trust and loyalty with the brand.
Kindly, revert by mail or post in case you need any further clarification on the same.
Trust the above is in order and looking forward to an early reply.
Yours Sincerely,
M.T.Thomas
