I bought an hcl desktop and laptop about a month back. first of all, the salesman was so rude, he was
behaving as if he's doing me a favour by giving those products to me. at one point when we were
negotiating price, he told me you don't like the price so don't buy. i walked away then.
later i thought there was no point arguing with him since he was just a salesman and maybe the company
isnt bad so i bought the product from him. (park street, kolkata).
by the way, this person didnt even show me theproduct, he just showed a "similar" product.
first of all, no one came to install the pc and laptop.
the monitors buttons have not been working ever since i installed the pc and when i called this person he
refused to exchange it. i tried to submit a complaint at call center no. which by the way, is mostly either
busy or is not answered, i was told someone would visit and fix this.
a person came and told me that he cant fix monitos and would send someone from HCL to do the same.
my question is if he'll send someone from hcl, who was he???
a couple of days later, some person called me and told me to return the monitor and that it'll be repaired.
i denied that and asked for a replacement because the switch NEVER worked. he refused to that and
refused to send someone to send someone to even check it. I asked him HOW CAN HE SAY THE SWITCH
IS FAULTY If NO ONE HAS EVEN CHECKED IT?? The other person who came before this said he doesnt
know anything about monitors.
finally someone came and told me he'll repair the piece. I denied and asked for replacement. I was told
he'll check at office if a new piece is available and get back to me within the week (it was monday on that
day). he NEVER called me back again. these details were written on the call report and it was marked
pending but NO ONE cared to fix this.
One week later when i called the customer care, i was told we won't replace it, if you want to get it
repaired do it otherwise we wont do anything.
As for laptop, the display is very very bad. its blurry and there so called 24x7 helpline DOES NOT WORK..
Wifi works for sometime then switches of automatically till restarted. One of the hinges of the LCD is
partially broken again since the day i bought it. Its been lying here without any use for almost 2 months
now. When i cant call someone how can i get theselaptop problems solved? Also, as with monitor, it
seems they 'll blame me and refuse to do anything
5 billion dollars enterprise - HCL.. MY FOOT. These products suck. STAY AWAY FROM HCL...
I should have understood if the salesman was pathetic, so will their products be too.
