I am shocked at the atrocious Global Direct customer service. I strongly suggest that Vodafone advise Global Direct call centre people to learn some basic manners and polite behaviour. I have never had the experience of calling a customer care centre and be asked "Who are you? " as soon as the phone is picked up. Further, upon asking for the customer care person's name I was told - "I don't have a name. Ok fine, my name is Alpha, now who are you? "
It is ridiculously funny and completely impossible to take a company or service seriously when they have such poor standards of service. As a recruiter, I understand Global Direct's desparation to recruit the first person who approaches them, but I expected Vodafone to have better standards. As a long term vodafone user I can only hope that number mobility arrives in India soon. Then there will be no need to receive random visits from Global Direct sales people in the middle of a working day.
