We bought this Godrej Pentacool Frost Free Refridgerator on July. It wasn't that my old refrigerator wasn't working. Infact its been in great working condition for over 11 years. However since we moved residence, we wanted to buy something new which would have a larger capacity and looks good with our decor.
This is my first experience with a Godrej product and from now onwards if anyone is to buy a godrej product, i tell them to think twice.
The problems i've been facing are many and as follows:
- On January my refrigerator was creating an awful noise. We called the service guys then and they changed some part
- Soon my fridge wasn't cooling and i called the service guy and they asked me to switch of the fridge overnight and it will be okay in the morning. Do this every month. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT THAT YOU HAVE TO SWITCH OF YOUR REFIRGERATOR. I HAVE NEVER SWITCHED IT OFF UNLESS I SAT TO CLEAN IT. Meanwhile, you can imagine how many things get spoiled in the mumbai heat.
-i was so fed up with the godrej service guy that i called a friend who knows about the refrigerators. He told me that there was some gas leek and thats the reason why my refrigerator doesn't cool. He refilled the gas and it worked for awhile.
Then once again it wasn't cooling. this time my in laws called the godrej company and their technician said that they need to fill gas, which they did and left.
After this, once again my fridge isn't cooling and guess what, there was ice formation. this time the godrej technician asked us to boil water. he emptied the freezer, and removed the back which showed ice formation and here he poured the hot water. The freezers working but the bottom part of the firdge isn't cooling.
I've called the technician again. i think i'll have to call them every 4 to 6 months, pay them their service charge, let them do there thing, throw what gets spoilt and sit back and pretend alls well.
I am so fed up.
