Problem with getting a new debit card

I lost my debit card and subsequently I applied for a new debit card in HDFC Sallake Sector - V Kolkata, branch on 4th of November. I was told at that time that I'll get my new debit card within 7-8 working days. Today (13/11) I was told by phone bankinging officer, the acting branch manager (Mr. Abir) that they can not tell when I am going get the card. It has beeen dispatched from chennai and it may take another 7 days to get that. When try to lodge a complain I was told by their representative Ms. aprajita that unless and until it is more then seven days from the date of dispatch they can not take any complaint.

The HDFC bank system is such a lousy system that they are taking almost 14 days to issue a fresh debit card.

In addition to that the sector - V branch is having problem in cheque clearance also they are never clear the cheque in time.
