I would like to log a compaint about the service provided by HDFC bank.
Their ATM's weren't working today so after trying to withdraw money from 3 differnet ATM's as suggested by phone banking as they told me that there was no problem with HDFC ATM's.
I then decided to go to the branch and after waiting in a long queue to get information I was told that I need my cheque book. I told the bank person that I didnt have it and if I could just withdraw the money using a withdrawl slip but he insisted i get the cheque book. So i went back home collected my cheque book and came back to the branch it was 12:29 when I got there but the security gaurd and bank people refused to let me in saying that the bank closed for the day although their closing time for the day is 12:30 on saturdays.
I am throughly disatisfied with the service provided by this bank and its employees. If the bank people knew that the bank was going to close they should have informed me, and phone banking should have the updated information as i wasted most of my time going from one ATM to another thinking that there was a problem with either my card or the ATM machine i was at. Futhermore I feel that a bank should extend their working hours especially on days when they know their ATM's aren't working and customer would need to go to a branch to withdraw money.
In my opinion I think HDFC bank provides very poor quality of service!!!
