If you ever dream of have a good house and are thinking of getting an interior designer, dont even think of HomeTown Design and Services. Its a joke they are running out there in the name of design.
I fell into this trap. I paid rs.10000 for interior designing services from them and what I got in return was crap work and complete unprofessionalism.
I was assign someone by name Merlyn Pillay as the "designer" for my house. She came to my house to visit and take measurements. She did that and to all my questions she said "No issues". Then in the name of design she send me a few autocad designs which were a piece of crap and senseless. I took those designs and went to the mall to make some changes and gave her some ideas about her own work. And she made the changes. When I went to my apaprtment to have a look for someother things, I found out that the designs that she has made doesnt take into consideration the electric swtich board etc that is already on the wall. Her crap designs did not make any provisions or did not forsee that if a show-case comes on that wall then the switch board will be hidden. I told this to her to which she said "No issues", I will change it. After many such issues I got a design which was indirectly my ideas. So what I got for Rs.10000 was an auto cad designer.
When the work started their men did such sloppy work, they broke down my wall plaster when building the furniture. I call her up, she said "no issues" we will fix it.
I never get any updates on the work on my house and whenever I call her she very rarely picks up the phone and doesnt even bother to call back with a reason after finding several missed calls.
Also Mr. Sunil Prasade, he is busier than the President of America. He never answers calls and when he does he says "Give me 30 mins, I will call back", but never does.
I had dreamt of a beautiful house and hence approached these people after seeing an ad in femina and after my wife insisted on giving them the project. It was the biggest mistake of my life.
