Honda City VTec
Damage during servicing

Complaint - Pearl Honda Service Station in Gurgaon.

My cars Mats were damaged by dry cleaning - excess pressure while cleaning the mats. The car was delivered and on expection, luckily I lifted the mats. Both the front mats have sponge below them and they were in tatters. The person who delivered the car had no clue about this. On calling the the service manager I was informed that the mats were received in that condition. On further questioning he said that the mats tore a little while cleaning and the cleaner had informed him that it was there from before.

I drove 25 km up and down to the Pearl Honda Dealer and service station and showed my mat to them. for 15 minutes they refused to accept it as their mistake. Finally the Overall Service manager accepted the mistake - Said it was the stupidity of the mechanic to blow high pressure on wet mats. They swelled and tore.

They offered a Rs. 400 free car wash. I refused as a new set is going to cost me Rs. 2000 or more and is not available in the market.

I want to complain basis the following -

a. Pearl Honda Service folks think they can cover up the damage caused during servicing

b. They do not own up or inform the customer if something has happened.

c. They blatantly lie that the car was received in that condition

d. Refuse to make refunds or replace parts damaged during service

I would highly recommend that people who go to Pearl Honda for servicing be vary of the above. They are nice people and courteous etc - but the above experience showcases lack of customer orientation and will to provide high quality and transparent service.
