I bought a desktop (HP DX2480 from Cyberspace, GS Road Guwahati, dealer for HP (product serial number SGH91105ZJ) on 09-07-09. The set was delivered at my Tezpur University residence on this date. The computer began giving starting trouble in the first week of Sepetmber. When I informed the dealer he sent a technician who said that the SMPS had to be replaced. The HP service center confirmed registration of complaint on 14-09-09 (Reference ID 4603628446) and assured me that the part would be replaced on or before 16-09-09. On 30-09-09 one Swati from the Delhi office of HP called to say that they are still looking for the SMPS and get back to as soon as the part is located. Now the dealer refuses to take responsibility and the HP pleads helplessness. Please advise.
