To whomsoever it may concern
This is with reference to a Laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000 series), purchased in October from US. Since May the wireless card of the laptop has not been functioning. When I consulted the HP Service Centre in Bangalore, I was told that the System Board needs to be replaced to fix the problem or, another alternate and cheaper solution would be, to use an external wireless card. So, I purchased an external wireless card accordingly.
Further, on 25th July the laptop display stopped working. So, I gave my laptop to the HP Authorised Service Centre in Ahmedabad (Ashtech Technologies, Thaltej) and made an initial payment of Rs.1, 200 for diagnosis. After a week, I was told that the System board needs to be replaced and it would cost Rs.12, 000 (inclusive of taxes). So, on 2nd August I made the payment accordingly and I was told that the system board would be replaced in a week. But, I finally got my laptop (with the new system board) on 12th August with a 1 month warranty for the system board. After a week, the wireless stopped functioning and the display was not functioning frequently. So, I again complained to the Ashtech Service Centre on 29th August. They have told me that the system board would be replaced. It has been 15 days since I've asked for the replacement but I haven't got a single call from them.
This being the situation, I'm regretting my purchase of the laptop in the first place, due to all the problems I've been facing. It is disturbing my work and acedemic scheduleand causing too many problems.
