I am not satisfied with services of ICICI Bank Sector 35 C Chandigarh

Complaint ID 397. The compalint has not been solved as yet by the ICICI Bank. I had sent emails to ICICI Customer services to send me fresh bankers cheque in respect of my closed account no.632201507568, as the earlier bankers cheque no.128778 dated 7.5.09 drawn on IcICI Bank Sector 35 C Chandigarh has been dishonoured by the bank. I was having the above said account with sector 35 chandigarh branch, for which I requested for closure of the same in Feb.09 and same was not closed by the bank. Now in April, 09 on my visit to branch office sector 35 chandigarh I was informed by the concerned official that I have to pay non maintenance charges to the bank for non maintenance of same. I informed them that I had applied for closure of account in Feb.09 and if the bank has not closed what is my fault. Accordingly the charges of more than Rs.750/- were reversed and the above said pay order towards the interest earned in my account was sent to me by mentioning my name as ASHAYMEDH SINGH instead of ASHAVMEDH SINGH. They have wrongly spelled my name on the bankers cheque. At the time of opening I had submitted the a/c opening documents i.e. ID PROOF, PAN CARD, ETC. in the name of ASHAVMEDH SINGH and there is no mistake on my part. The name has wrongly been spelled by the Bank in their Computer systems/records, and therefore, there is no fault of mine. NOW the bank has sent me e mail showing their inability to send fresh pay order in the correct name. I have also requested them if they are unable to issue the pay order then alternatively credit the amount to my another bank account with sector 9 branch of their bank at chandigarh. The Bank is adament in paying me the proceeds of my closed account and harrasing me a lot. I have already made number of visits to the bank in sector 35 chandigarh and now the Customer instead of advising their Branch Office, Sector 35 Chandigarh to issue fresh banker cheque, advising me to contact the branch. The complaint has not been solved by the bank till date. Kindly intervene and take up the matter with the ICICI Bank for redressing my grievances. Hoping for your kind action.
