Dear Sir / Madam,
On 4th December, Mr. Sujit Saha, Manager (Collection Department, Kolkata) of ICICI Bank, issued a letter to me in the matter of foreclosure of a Personal Loan account no. LPCAL00003674235. As per this letter, I was supposed to make a full and final settlement of a sum of Rs. 30, 000.00 (Rupees Thirty Thousand only), against all my dues standing on account of this personal loan.
When I last spoke and communicated with Mr. Sujit Saha, he was based out of ICICI Bank Ltd, Sarat Bose Road Branch, Kolkata. His phone number and his bank employee code are as follows:
Designation: Manager (Collections)
Mobile: 9830072077
ICICI Bank Employee Code of Mr. Sujit Saha: 155507.
Vide its payment receipt no. O09087255608 dated 04/12, the said ICICI Bank Ltd. acknowledged that it had received Rs. 30000.00 (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) in cash on account of the full and final settlement standing with respect of the abovementioned personal loan account.
Unfortunately, however, even though several months have since elapsed, the Bank continues to pester me through its executives and/or its representatives for settlement on account of this personal loan account. I have made repeated appeals to them to check their own records in order to bear out the veracity of my claim. This, despite the fact that I had visited the Bank twice, with all the relevant documents, viz., payment receipt and the letter, in originals, in order to substantiate my claim.
My appeals, however, have not been met with satisfactory responses from the Bank.
At this point of time, I would like to seek kind advice and suggestions on this subject to reach an amicable settlement as early as possible. Needless to mention, of course, such course of events in recent days, have left a lasting impact on me. My faith in the banking system, of which ICICI Bank Ltd.
is undoubtedly a significant player, is being shaken.
Yours faithfully,
Anirban Shome
