This complaint regarding a policy which i took from the company 4 yrs back. monthly premiums were send to the policy from my wife's account (ICICI bank itself) on a particular day of every month as per a standing instruction. about one yr back i was told that one premium is missing and i have to give a bond in rs 50 stamp paper for re issuing a draft which got misplaced from their office at kottayam. after several communications i got an email from their customer relations officer this February that my policy is in fully paid status as on 29 Sept (last premium due date).
now only 40 days for the policy to get matured. i got a mail and a letter saying that the policy is lapsed. i am confused whether to go to the ombudsman, IRDA or to make a press club meeting.
