Unsatisfactory service response from the company

I have purchased an IFB microwave oven model no: 20SC2 in january from Rathna stores chennai, and the front door glass was found broken. Inspite of repeated calls and complaints to the service number there was no response. Finally an executive Mr. Ganesh from IFB service center perambur, chennai turned up in month of march and said he'll check with the company and get back with in a day or two. But sill there was no response from them. Further calls were made to the service line and they have given a complaint no:71934, post which an executive named Mr. Samy from the service department came and informed that i'll have to pay Rs. 1200 for the glass to be changed. My product is still with in warranty period, so why should i take the liability for the product which i have not yet used.
