IFB WASHING MACHINE
Small pieces of cloth gets stuck

I've bought a new ifb washing machine model elena dx s.no.028372.

what happens is small pieces of cloth like socks, small handkerchieves get stuck somewhere in the outlet hosepipe and the spin function stops working.we've called upon the company mechanic and he says this is a problem with this machine and he has asked us to use a plastic bag and to fill all such small items in it and than start the machine otherwise this problem will occur again and again.

please tell me is this the right way becos i've using topload washing machine for last 15 years witout any such complaint and even my sister and friend have the same ifb machine but they've no such complaint.
