We had purchased a new IFB washing machine ELENA in March from M/s. Viva Electronics, Apna Bazar J.P. Road, Andheri (West). This machine gave us trouble in August (within 5 months) and it was set right by the IFB service mechanic. This machine has again started giving trouble and it has completely stopped since the last three weeks. This machine is still under 2 year warranty and hence we contacted Mr. Dilip of Viva Electronics, who asked us to contact Mr. Amar Bharati, every time we were told that there is nothing to worry and our machine would be set right in a day or two. On regularl daily multiple follow ups, we were given the complaint number after one week. After that Mr. Amar Bharati told us to contact Mr. Vishwajeet at BKC office. We contacted him and gave him the complaint No. (1990560) and although he promised to personally look into the matter, we regret to inform you that till date and each single day we get the reply from him that the service mechanic will definitely come today and that we should not move out of the house.
This has resulted in TOTAL DISTRUST and faith in IFB Brand. Our earlier IFB washing machine did not give us trouble for 17 years but this machine quality is totally trash. We have taken a vow that in our lifetime we shall never purchase any IFB product and also tell our family and friends to do the same.
The entire episode has angered us and we have now decided to get the machine repaired from outside and submit the bill to IFB for payment.
