Dear Sir/Madam
This is to inform you that my Ford Ikon Car insured from IFFCO Tokio GIC ltd policy no.36522840 got damaged in the month of july while i was on way to Chandigarh to Jagadhri. I reported this loss to representative of IFFCO Tokio Mr. Rohit who send surveyor Mr. Ashok Aggarwal to local garage, where Ashok Aggarwal did inspection of my car and took photographs of my car, collect the estimate of Rs.65000/ approx from workshop and confirmed me that i will get a claim and the company officials registered my claim as Claim No.31312860.Then i got my car repaired from that garage i incurred Rs 54000/- on my car.
After i got my car well repaired, Ashok aggarwal again inspected the car and took photographs along with the damaged parts and new parts replaced.
I completed all the formalities as desired by the company and i was assured
by company officials that i will receive my claim amount cheque within 20 days.
After few weeks in the month of August, i tried to confirm about my claim amount from IFFCO tokio representative Mr Rohit, then i got to know he has left the company.
Then i contacted to their regional office at Chandigarh, they told they didn't receive claim file whereas surveyor said he had already despatched my file.
In this secenario company spend two months without giving me satisfactory answer where was my claim file.
In the month of October when i called up regional office of Iffco tokio GIC Ltd, company's manager Mr. Aashish Dogra told me that my claim has been rejected without specifying me any reason and told me that i will receive it in writing why my claim has been rejected.
Since then i am again and again moved from one person to other but nobody issued me letter for reason of rejecting my claim where as its now 6 months that i have already spend Rs54000 on my car and i am facing such harassment from company side.
Its only today when I called up their top officials then I received letter from Iffco Tokio stating that
” your claim is not tenable and we are closing the case as No Claim as the damages for which claim has been lodged do not correlate with the stated cause and nature of accident”
And they also gave me this letter as copy from back date 23.10.2007 saying they had already sent this letter by registered post two months back but when I asked them to show the proof of delivery they failed.
I want to ask IFFCO TOKIO GIC LTD that when they don’t have capacity to pay claims why did they insure my car. At the time of inspection company officials and surveyor didn’t discuss with me any doubts regarding nature and cause of accident as the condition of car from front was already telling the truth that my claim was100% genuine.
The photographs of the damaged as well as repaired car along with all the desired formalities are lying with the company which you can see. But now surveyor and company manager Aashish Dogra don’t want any discussion on this topic.

I tried to talk to Mr. Pawan Taneja Branch Manager who very rudely asks me not to call him again. Company is totally denying to pay my claim.
After a long discussion Company’s Astt Manager Aashish Dogra personally advised me to move to consumer court and insurance ombudsmen for claim amount.
Ashok Aggarwal stated that its IFFCO Tokio’s strict instructions to the surveyors to reject 2 out of 10 claims with or without any reason.
Now you tell me what to do, how I will get my claim amount and where should I go???
An early strict action against such irresponsible company from your side would be highly appreciable.
