Sir,

The applicant is an consumer of indane gas having LPG connection in his name. The regulator supplied by you was malfunctioning due to its material defects or some reasons which is not known to him. When the applicant called to Nav Jyoti Gas services at hisar there some Mr. Mahender Singh, informed him that the regulator is leek or damaged which need to be replaced and this replacement can only be done after getting Rs.150/- the cost to exchange the regulator. When the applicant told him about the information supplied to him under Right to Information Act which clearly shows that no charge will be levied against the replacement of regulator to the consumer but Mr. Mahender Singh bluntly disowned the information conveys to him and asked him to get the exchange done by the person who tell so. I will change the regulator until and unless Rs.150/- is paid. The applicant tried to contact the owners of this agency but they were not in office as usual and this Mahender Singh refused to provide the particulars of them.

Further he also refused to supply the name and address and contact number of sales manager, no board in the agency is hanged to get the name and telephone number of sales manager.

Any how the applicant got managed to get particulars of area sales manager from other agencies, when the applicant approached to Mr. R.L.Sharma, Area Manager, Hisar at his residence i.e. #743, Sector-15P, Hisar where he was absent. Nobody replied for him. When called upon his cell number and narrated him all the incident to him, even without getting in to the merits, Mr. Sharma also insisted upon to pay Rs.150/- to the Nav Jyoti Gas Agency. Mr. Sharma told a new thing that the consumer has to pay this amount because of warranty of 5 years and since the regulator is 5 years old, therefore, the applicant have to pay this amount. Without looking and condition of regulator.

The applicant also asked Mr. Sharma that he want to lodge a complaint against Nav Jyoti Gas for defying the norms of the company but he said that he is out of station. He will be coming at 2nd of February evening till then you wait. The applicant requested him that in 3 days time either he had to use defective regulator which is a hazard to applicant’s life or live without cooking, please provide me solution. He again said you are wasting your and mine time, why don’t you pay Rs.150/- and get your work done and when the applicant asked what about the company norm in which no charges are levied to the consumers for exchange of regulators? He said there are no such norms! Which is a clear cut lie and shows the ill response of an officer against his mandatory and statutory duties?

This entire episode shows that Mr. R.L.Sharma and Navjyoti are in collusion with each other, Mr. R.L.sharma is protecting the dealer for his ulterior motive gains. Which is highly objectionable.

For the detailed reasons submitted above, it is requested to take action against both of them and the agency of Nav Jyoti Gas may kindly be cancelled for their breach of contract with IOC and consumer and regulator of the applicant may be replaced without charges. And also stern action against Mr. Sharma may kindly be taken.
