I own gas connection in the name of my mother V Kamakshi with consumer No.67341 with Shivshakar Gas Agency, Kundrathur Road, Porur, Chennai 116. This month 11th I booked for refill and I was told that it would be delivered in 10- days. In the meantime I applied for name transfer on 22/3/08. After remittance of necessary fees, the name transfer (to myself, P.R.Raghuraman) was effected. When I asked about the supply of cylinder booked in the name of Kamakshi, I was told that it would be delivered on that day itself, as despatch vouchers had already gone to delivery boys. Since no supply has been effected so far, to-day I went to Gas Agency and enquired. I was told that the old connection was severed and I had to book afresh in the new consumer No. DO68421. Is that position true. Had I been told on the day of transfer itself, I would have booked. Even two months back, the gas booked in the name of Kamakshi was delivered somewhere else and only after my pursuation and complaint, the cylinder was delivered. This is the story of many around in this area. I would only request the authorities of Indane to undertake inspection and arrest such things in future.
