I am not satisfied with your product and service

I have a confirmed Train tkt with PNR #452-6798419 on Train #2683, Coach B1 Seat 9 LB, for journey from PGT (Palakkad) to Bangalore (SBC) starting on 18 Apr issued at Bangalore (Banashankari Office) on 24 Jan. After booking, I realized I may be better to board the Train at Coibatore (CBE - a Station on the route) enabling me to met some old friends and complete some personal work. On appraching the official on 8 Mar at the Office, where, I booked the ticket originally, I was informed that-

1. I was requred to submit a written request to allow Boarding at CBE.

2. I would loose my seat for Boarding at Palakkad (PGT) as in the original booking.

3. I would not be eligible for any part refund for the unused leg- PGT to CBE.

I am not sure of the logic in denying the part refund and denyong the boarding option at PGT once they process my written request to board at CBE instead of PGT as an option and having paid for the entire jorney from PGT to SBC although the seat may be unused from PGT to CBE - this is no loss to the railways!

I would like your early response as I will have to get on the Train on 18 April and need to ensure that the position is clear.
