my father had a joint account in Monthly income scheme at the aerodrum are post office bhubaneswar. the account no 114143 and the amount was rs 6, 00, 000.00. my father died on 02-04. After submitting the death certificate the officials finally returned rs 3, 00, 000.00 to my mother on 24-09 who is the other joint account holder. The officials refused to pay the interest on rs 3, 00, 000.00 during that period that is from march to sept. They paid only the interest on rs 3, 00, 000.00 during that period.
therefore it is requested to kind make necessary arrangements to refund the interest during the said period.
