How fair is it that IRCTC debits me an amount of INR 872.42 and credits me back just INR 857 for an error in their side?

I was trying to book a ticket online on 3rd of this month and I got an error during the transaction. In case of the transaction error I believe it is only fair if you credit me the entire amount (including the service charge) because the damn transaction has not happened as yet. It is not some cancellation where you are deemed to withhold a certain charge.
