I use Just Dial services frequently on their 28888888 number.
I called them to inquire for a distributor of Tata Sky Services and as usual they sent me a message on my mobile phone with the numbers of distributors.
Imagine my surprise when a minute later when one of the distributors calls me on my cell.
While this may be good from a service perspective, I am apalled at the complete disregard for consumer privacy. I did not authorise Just Dial to share my numbers with anyone. I have not signed anything to this extent nor have they ever mentioned this in any of their communication - verbal or via SMS. The thought that my personal cell no is lying in the hands of completely randomn strangers is downright scary.
I would like an explanation as well as a written assurance that my number has been withdrawn from every single database they have sold and will not be in any that they might sell going forward.
