This is a copy of letter mailed by me to the company on 29th June but yet have received no reply, kindly help me or atleast direct me on how to solve my problem.
I had purchased 33 Boxes of your Premium Vitrified Tiles (K 6029) in the size 2X 2, from M/s Dhanlaxmi, located on
Duncan Street, Mumbai on 6-05-09 and paid a sum of Rs.50, 000 for the same
The boxes were delivered at my above residence on 14-05-09
The arrival of the boxes told me something was amiss as the same were packed in Plain Cardboard boxes and your Logo was on the inner side of the Box and the exterior was blank
As my house was under renovation, I was staying elsewhere and had engaged contract labour for doing the Civil Work
When I visited to inspect the progress in work, I noticed following further major defects-
Many Tiles were bent in shape
Noticeable shade variation amongst the Tiles in spite of the tiles expected to be of the same design and model number (K 6029)
Your Logo was visible on some of the Tiles while the rest did not carry any Logo or origin identification markings
The same shade number as ordered (K 6029) was handwritten on the Tiles
I contacted the Dealer who put me in touch with one Mr. Rajesh working as Inspector with you who visited my home
Mr. Rajesh promised to rectify the situation but has done very little since then and neither he nor
The tiles were replaced after 10 days of inspectors visit, out of which 1 box was still delivered broken.
As result of the above-
I have ended up wasting time, money and efforts
There is a time and cost over-run as the labour had to be held on stand by idling mode awaiting replacement tiles
At the age of 74 years, I am put to great stress and inconvenience and am unsure as to when my house will be ready for me to move back
I therefore call upon you to-
Reimburse me the costs incurred and would have to be incurred on Civil Work and labour
Pay me compensation for the stress and inconvenience caused
Needless to mention that I reserve my rights to take suitable legal action in case no action is taken by you within 7 days of receipt of this letter, the cost and consequences of which would solely rest upon you, which please note
