Car misuse during first service

I had purchased a Maruti Wagon-R from Kapico Motors, Chennai in 2007. Sales dealing was perfect. For the first service, I took the car about a month with about 300 kms on the odometer. I dropped the car in the morning and picked it in the evening. When driving back home I was shocked to see that the odometer showed 31 kms put in during the few hours it was in for service. The car was delivered at the end of their work day and I was unable to go back and check on this. Intially I thought it was part of test drives but later realized the car was actually misused. I was frustrated that my sparing used new car was misused by either Kapico or their staff. No idea if they have caused any unseen physical damages to the car. I called Kapico and complained after a few days. I was told it will be looked into. Nothing happened. During subsequent customer calls from Kapico and Maruti, I pointed out that there was a pending complaint. Nothing ever happened. Few months down the line, just a day before the second service was due - was this just a concidence? - Kapico calls up and simply tells the problem will not happen again and asks for the car to be serviced. I decided not to do any more business with Kapico. I did not renew my insurance through them and now service my car from another service center.
