I am a professor in BITS, Pilani.
I have purchased LG DVD player from a local dealer "LG Point" in Pilani. Unfortunately the unit has
gone bad after 1 month. It is still in warranty period. I gave the unit back to the
dealer put a complaint to LG. The service man came and said to the dealer that it is fine without
even opening it. And the dealer returned the defected unit back to me saying it is working they
can't do anything. Later I inquired and found that the local service man is the friend of the dealer.
Then I complaint directly to the LG service but till now they have not replied (the complain has been
put some three months back). They are not ready to listen over the phone also.
In my opinion, once the product is sold they DON'T CARE. And most of the time they SELL DEFECTED PRODUCTS. There is not take back, no repair and simply cheating to the customer.
BOYCOTT the LG products until and unless they change their policy to support
customer and improve their after sale services.
