POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

My family is using HP Gas since 1993 and I started using it since past 1 Year. Details of my Service Provider are as follows.

Off-late, there are repeated instances of Delay in delivery of refill / cylinder.

I had requested for a refill on 25774850 on 31st August around 3.15 PM, and upon confirmation of Name and Consumer number, I was told that the Cylinder will be delivered by Tomorrow. (i.e. 1st Sep. 2010). I had a doctor's appointment and had to cancel the same to receive the cylinder at home, but the Cylinder was not delivered. I called on the same number mentioned above twice, one around 3 PM, I was informed that the cylinder will be delivered Today itself and she (the operator who did not mention her name) asked me to wait. It was 5.50 PM and still the cylinder was not delivered, I made a second call and the operator said that it will be done by 6 PM Today (1st Sep. 2010). I lost hope by 8 PM and understood that it would not be delivered.

The very next day I logged a compliant via HP Gas consumer zone - http://jihaan.hpcl.co.in/booking/Default.aspx and got the ticket number as well. Within 2 hours, the cylinder was delivered to my residence and the delivery man also gave his mobile to my wife to speak to the Agency (or someone from HP) who apologized for the delay in delivery and she promised prompt delivery from next time onwards.

Within minutes, the case was closed with an update – “Dealer staff Leena said they have send the refill vide cash memo no. 24169.”

I did not bother anymore as the refill / cylinder was delivered and also they (HP / Liberty Gas Agency) assured of prompt service from next time.

On 20th October I booked a refill via phone (25774850) at 3 PM. After verifying my Name and Consumer number, I was told by the Operator that the cylinder would be delivered by 21st October.

On 21st October Inspite of repeated telephone calls made on number 25774850, the operator kept on saying that we have delivery till 6 PM and the cylinder would be delivered by 6 PM. At around 6.05 PM, I tried calling on 25774850, 25785326, 25793944, 25791001, no answer.

Soon, I decided to log a complain again via HP Gas consumer zone http://jihaan.hpcl.co.in/booking/Default.aspx. The next day when I called on 25774850, the staff began to speak rudely and also argued that it’s been only two days since you have booked the refill, you are complaining as if it’s more than 10 days of booking. Anyhow, the refill / cylinder got delivered on the same day and as expected, the case got closed with the below update “Dealer staff Leena said they have send the refill to customer vide cash memo no.14904 today.”

I really don’t know what step should I take now as this is the second time they are doing this to me. I only have one cylinder as of now, I was planning to purchase an additional cylinder from them, but having experienced their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I am now checking with other Gas Agencies like Bharat around my area.

I am not aware if the same service is given to other consumers also by LIBERTY GAS AGENCY (V) (Code: 19564000)

Also, I am waiting for the next turn to book a refill and see their service.
